I bought the new album Love+Protest by Eric Wainaina (and the best band in Africa) at PewaHewa.com
Let me say that again. I registered with PewaHewa.com, selected Love+Protest album, paid KES 420 (KES30 per song) using MPESA, then received an email with my reciept and the download instructions via email. Buying Kenyan music, on a Kenyan website, paying via a locally available mobile money solution in Kenya.
That said I did experience one major problem; I could not download the songs and got an error message. This was resolved after a series of emails and tweets with the staff at @pewahewadotcom and @EricWainaina
Kudo's to Eric for making his new album Love+Protest available at pewahewa.com for Kenyans to purchase and download and also promoting the release of the album in this fashion.
There is a lot of great music by other Kenyan musicians available at PewaHewa.com, Eric is also selling his new album via Amazon and iTunes.
