Karibu. Yes, welcome to this blog on websites and all it takes to design, develop, ensure it is available on the world wide web (WWW) in the Internet and maintain it. Most posts will be reviews on websites, initially Kenyan ones but with time expanding on to Eastern Africa. Reviewing the websites will provide lessons on good and bad practice. Tovuti and sanifu are Swahili words and their translation in English is website and (to) design respectively. The successful completion of the undersea fiber optic cables, TEAMS and SEACOM, and with EASSy arriving next year will ensure faster and cheaper Internet access in Kenya. This will enable more people to have a presence on the WWW; for the purposes of making themselves known, selling products and services, providing information, communicating with others etc. Hopefully this blog will be helpful to many with a website or those planning to have one.
